Ms. Tiffany Brown Joins TMSA

Hello TMSA parents! My name is Tiffany Brown, and I am so excited to join the TMSA faculty as the College Counselor. I grew up in Raleigh and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I majored in Spanish and Intercultural Studies. After teaching high school Spanish for four years, I obtained my Masters in Education from UNC-Chapel Hill in School Counseling. I have three years of school counseling experience in Durham. I love learning about different cultures, spending time with my family, and cheering on the Tarheels!  I am looking forward to assisting all of our students in obtaining post-secondary success!

Principal's Corner

Dear TMSA Families,

I want to begin by wishing all of you a wonderful and happy new year! The new year always brings with it the possibilities for a brighter future and positive changes.  I believe in TMSA and hope that in 2017 we can continue to raise the bar even higher for our wonderful students, their families, and our staff. Please remember TMSA with your generous donations so that we may move forward with our ambitious plans for next year.

I would like to emphasize School Safety as we begin this year and make sure that we are all on the same page. Safety must always be our number one priority, so here are some reminders:

  • Please follow the carpool system.
  • Please do not park at any of our neighbor’s parking lots.
  • Please do not drop off or pick up any children along the street. The drivers around our school are not expecting pedestrians, and we do not have crosswalks for this. There may be consequences for those who do this.
  • Please let our school know if your child is being picked up by a different driver/car than usual. They must have either a carpool tag with them or some form of permission. This can easily be done by contacting our front office.

I would like to remind all of you that we are always better off safe than sorry.  As always, please feel free to contact me with any of your concerns or sign up to meet me for tea.

Stay warm and safe!

-Mr. Kara
