Eric Wu, one of our top Science Olympians, has achieved something truly impressive. He's been named a semifinalist for the National Merit Scholarship.
Eric's achievement comes after scoring exceptionally well on the PSAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) last year. Now, he has a chance to become a finalist and compete for one of the 7,140 National Merit Scholarships, which together are worth nearly $28 million. To put this in perspective, only about 1% of high school seniors in the United States receive this recognition.
Beyond his academic accomplishments, Eric is also a talented athlete. Last summer, he competed in the NCHSAA 1A East Regional in singles tennis.
